Friends -
I am sending information about a program being held by the North Penn Parents Special Educational Council called: Life After High School: The Student Perspective. For more information about the program, click here.
The program is designed to help special education students, parents and their teachers become better prepared for transitional issues that college students face. The program will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at 7 PM in the North Penn Educational Services Center.
During this dynamic and interactive session, a panel of college students with special education needs will share their personal experiences and discuss how they successfully transitioned into college.
A broad spectrum of topics related to post-secondary education academics, counseling, time management, independent living strategies, socializing and more will be shared during this lively discussion.
An educational expert on disability services will provide additional insight.
Public, private and parochial school students, parents and educators are welcome to attend.
Attendees are encouraged to submit specific topics of interest to the panel by email to [email protected].
Join the conversation and get ready for college by joining us on April 18!
To RSVP, call 215-884-6499. If you have any questions please feel free to call Leza at 215-884-6499.
