Disability Services Hearing and Press Conference Planned for May 3, 2012 at the Capitol Rotunda, Harrisburg
Friends -On May 3, 2012, the Human Services Committee of the PA House of Representatives will hear from advocates, consumers, providers, and statewide associations on the impact of the changes enacted by the Office of Long Term Living (OLTL) on the home and community based services system and the individuals they serve in Pennsylvania.
The hearing will take place on May 3, 2012 at 9:30 in Room 60 East Wing at the Capitol.
A press conference is scheduled in the Capitol Rotunda immediately following the hearing. Advocates, consumers and providers will speak about the impact that the Governor’s proposed cuts to disability services will have on people and organizations.
The public, policy makers, disability advocates, provider organizations, direct care workers and individuals affected by the rate and policy changes of the OLTL or the impact of the Governor’s proposed budget are urged to attend the hearing and the press conference.
