The TAACC (pronounced "talk") Workshops should be attended by everyone assessing, recommending, using, supporting, and
working with people who may benefit from augmentative and alternative communication aids. Speech language pathologists,
assistive technology practitioners, AAC device users, teachers, and parents will benefit from attending this educational day.
The focus is on successful implementation of voice output systems. The keynote speaker, Kelly Fonner, will discuss implementing
AAC into your client's life. Workshop presentations will show practical uses of available AAC devices, from education and literacy
development to advanced language communication and environmental control.
Time will be provided for hands-on experience and the chance for potential users to sample communication systems with or without
their therapists. CEU's will be issued for those meeting CEU requirements.
