Disability Voting Coalition of Pennsylvania Starting Monthly Conference Calls

Disability Voting Coalition of Pennsylvania Starting Monthly Conference Calls

February 19th, 2009
Did you know that Pennsylvanians with disabilities outnumber other voting blocks, such as:

- union members;

- seniors 65 and over.

So, why are we not a powerful voting block?

The Disability Voting Coalition is committed to advancing the empowerment of people with disabilities through participation in the electoral process at all levels.

Did you get involved in last year's election?
Do you want to organize in your community to improve the system for voters with disabilities?
Do you want to connect with activists across the state?
Please join us next Wednesday, February 25th, from 10:30am - 11:30am for the first Disability Voting Coalition organizing conference call!

The call-in number is 1-866-352-3799. The participant code is *3493497* (yes, that is "star" before and after 3493497 -- don't forget the stars).

On future calls -

Learn what the Pennsylvania Mental Health Consumer's Association has done in 5 counties around registering mental health consumers.
Learn how one agency registered hundreds of voters.
Learn about emergency absentee ballots and what happened in hospitals across Pennsylvania on Election Day.
Discuss Early Voting and other election reform legislation currently pending before the Legislature.
Please participate if you can. We need you! If you know someone in Pennsylvania who might want to participate, please forward this message on. If you received this message from someone else, please let us know you want to participate by emailing us at [email protected]. We'll send you out the Agenda before the meeting.

Find out what is happening in Pennsylvania! Learn from your peers. Share your story.
