Pennsylvania Office for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing Hosting Meetings Across State
The Pennsylvania Office for the Deaf & Hard of Hearing is hosting a series of meetings across the state.ODHH Staff realizes the Deaf community and persons who are hard or hearing have different concerns and needs. After careful thought, ODHH staff agreed it would be best to have 2 kinds of meetings to address everyone's unique needs.
During 2009 ODHH Representatives will be hosting meetings across the state. Deaf Town Hall meetings will focus on topics such as interpreters, resources, advocacy, and laws. Community Forums for People with Hearing Loss will focus on topics such as technology, CART, hearing aids, laws, and advocacy.
There are at least 4 reasons why you should attend the meeting:
- You can learn how ODHH can help you.
- Meet the ODHH staff.
- You can express your concerns/problems about accessibility in your community.
- We-you & ODHH can work together to make your community a better place.
Please read the attached file and view our website the 2009 meeting schedule. Our website address is www.dli.state.pa.us keyword: odhh
Can you help ODHH spread the word about the meeting? Please forward this email to your friends, and family who may want to come to the meeting. THANKS!!
Hope to see you at the meeting!
Sincerely,
Sharon Behun
