Launch of New Virtual Community in Pennsylvania - "Communicate Pa Community"
Hopefully your weekend celebration of America's birthday was fun-filled and safe. In the spirit of continuing to celebrate freedom and the birth of new ideas and communities, it is my pleasure to announce the launch (or birth) of a new virtual community in Pennsylvania. This listserv that has been established to support the outreach, educational and collaborative efforts of individuals interested in establishing and protecting communication for and with all Pennsylvanians who have communication challenges.The Communicate PA Community is an inclusive collaborative that aims to serve as a mechanism for problem solving, sharing ideas and resources, and raising awareness of issues and barriers for individuals with complex communication. Members of this community include individuals with disabilities, family members, advocates, service providers, policy makers and other stakeholders.
Every member of this community is encouraged to contribute and help create a user-friendly resource for finding and sharing information about communication for individuals with complex communication needs. That said, the primary purpose of this listserv is to get information into your hands (or inbox). If you have an announcement you'd like passed through the listserv please contact CommunicatePA administrators with the information and ask them to distribute to the list.
