ALERT: Dental Care for Persons with Disabilities in Pennsylvania
ALERT: Dental Care for Persons with Disabilities in Pennsylvania
The following alert is from the Arc of Greater Pittsburgh:
There is a bill that is pending right now in the state House, HB 1049, which requires that providers of private dental insurance cover anesthesia (when necessary) for children under 5 and persons with disabilities. Representative Stan Saylor (R-York) is the prime sponsor. He's trying to gather personal stories to help move the legislation.
Have you or a family member (covered under a private pay insurance) been denied coverage for anesthesia during a dental visit?
If you have, please write to Representative Saylor about that experience.
