Pennsylvania Department Of Public Welfare-Bureau Of Autism Services-Adult Community Autism Program (ACAP)

September 30th, 2009

Pennsylvania's Adult Community Autism Program (ACAP) is a way for adults living with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to get needed services. The services people who enroll in ACAP will receive are built upon each person's strengths and determined by each person's needs. The services are designed to help adults living with ASD be as independent as possible and be involved in community life. The services are also intended to improve social skills and help families and/or caregivers who support adults living with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

The Bureau of Autism Services is excited to announce ACAP is expanding and now accepting applications for Chester County! ACAP will serve 200 people who live in Dauphin, Cumberland, Lancaster and Chester counties.

The Department of Public Welfare has contracted with Keystone Autism Services, an agency of Keystone Human Services, to operate the ACAP program. Keystone Autism Services and its network of providers will also be providing the services.
