The National Technical Assistance Center for Voting and Cognitive Access
is hosting a free conference call on "Supporting Voters in Congregate Care: Outreach and Training in Institutions and Group Homes"

The call is Wednesday, March 3, 2010 and should last 1 ½ hours.

The times are:
Pacific Time: 11:00 am
Mountain Time: 12:00 pm
Central Time: 1:00 pm
Eastern Time: 2:00 pm

Call Facilitator:
Teresa Moore, Project Vote Trainer, the National Technical Assistance
Center for Voting and Cognitive Access

Invited Speakers:
Paul O'Hanlon - Staff Attorney, Disability Rights Network of Pennsylvania
Paul will share his experience with voter outreach in personal care
homes and institutions.

Kate Bowden - Staff Attorney, Rhode Island Disability Law Center
Kate will talk about work her organization has done in a state
psychiatric hospital to encourage residents to vote, as well as the
systems already in place for voting in care facilities.

Merry Postemski - Advocate, Disability Rights Vermont
Merry will share her knowledge on mobile polling in nursing homes and
prisons.

Mickie Kawai - County Clerk, Washington County, Oregon
Mickie will discuss how Oregon is reaching out to voters with
disabilities in care facilities, especially considering the state's
unique vote by mail system.
