A Training for Advocates and Consumers on the Patient Protection & Affordable Care Act

Join the Pennsylvania Health Access Network (PHAN) for a special Leadership Initiative Training on the new health reform law from 10 am to 1 pm on Saturday, August 21 in Harrisburg. Get the tools you need to understand the benefits of the new health care law and become an effective spokesperson and advocate for health care reform in your community.

This special training will offer an in-depth look at all the great changes the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act will bring to Pennsylvania families, youth, seniors and small businesses. We'll teach you everything you need to know!

  • Exchanges and Subsidies
  • Pre-Existing Condition Health Insurance
  • How Reform Is Paid For
  • Changes to Medicare and Medicare Advantage

  • State Reforms & Issues: adultBasic, PA Fair Care, and Health Care Reform Implementation
By the end of this interactive training you'll be able to talk to your friends and neighbors about the new health care law, host your own house party or educational forum, and know how to educate and effectively lobby your State Representatives or Member of Congress!
