Shari Mamas
Staff Attorney, PittsburghShari Mamas received her B.S. from the University of Pittsburgh in 1993 and her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1996.
Prior to joining the Disability Rights Network of PA in July 2007, Ms. Mamas was a staff attorney in the Western Pennsylvania office of the Education Law Center - PA (ELC). She provided legal assistance and representation to parents, students and advocates concerning issues of regular and special education in Pennsylvania public schools. A large part of her work at ELC also included coalition building among parents, advocates, service providers, and communities and empowering families to be effective advocates for their children by training them on their educational rights. Ms. Mamas is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association and has served on the Pennsylvania Bar Association's Legal Services for Exceptional Children Committee
